Airbag-type water stop method ABS method
It is a method of inflating an airbag and performing localized water shutoff in the pipeline.
The airbag-type water stop method (ABS method) involves attaching a saddle to the pipeline that needs to be sealed, drilling a hole, and then inserting an airbag at a designated position within the pipeline using a specialized insertion machine. The airbag is then inflated to create a localized water stoppage in the pipeline. This method utilizes a simple device, allowing for quick localized water stoppage, and can be employed as part of a series of pipeline works rather than as an independent project for water stoppage during continuous water flow. There are two methods: Method I uses a stopper saddle developed by our company specifically for the ABS method, while Method II uses commercially available saddles with branch valves. This method is ideal for reducing construction time and minimizing the area affected by water stoppage. For more details, please contact us or refer to our catalog.
